School Wide Discipline-Models

Jackson and Panyan's (2002) five themes for positive behavioral supports and the five principles of learning serve as the foundation for establishing discipline and behavioral supports in a school system and /or a classroom. Research indicates that implementation of positive schoolwide discipline models result in a drop in the number of discipline referrals. (Grumley, 1997; Sugai & Horner, 2001). Following are three models chosen as examples that support the themes and principles of positive schoolwide discipline:
