Initiate a conversation with your staff about how you want to be with one another when you are in staff meetings or staff development training. This can be a model that teachers could use when facilitating a discussion with students about how they want students in their classrooms to be with one another.

It is helpful to start with questions, such as:

What things do we need to remember as we work together this year?
In what ways do we want to behave so that all of us can best learn?
How do we want to be or act, in order to have a good productive school year?
