Edward Redalen has degrees from the University of Minnesota system and the University of Toledo. He was a middle school math and science teacher, school counselor at all three levels, school principal, assistant director of an Upward Bound program, UNI assistant professor with tenure, a staff development consultant and Educational Services Director at AEA 7, Cedar Falls.
His work on leadership and supervision as related to school culture and climate is at four levels: students, teachers, administrators and school boards. He has also applied the concepts to hospitals, medical clinics, a public radio board, NBC news affiliates, municipal development groups, school staffs, administrator teams and school boards.
He currently consults with local districts, SAI on mentoring and induction of new administrators, and a Parent Information Resource Center Grant that combines the work of the DE, SAI, AEAs and local districts.
