Parent Volunteers
School Environment

Parent volunteers can be valuable resources for a comprehensive high school. Some districts believe in this so much that they have a full time community services coordinators that oversee building usage, community adult education, and the adult volunteer programs. Mentors, ticket takers, hosts for major events, tutors, clerical assistants, career panelists, concession stand helpers, internship hosts, guest speakers, fundraisers, and many other roles get parents into a building on a daily basis. The programs are almost 100% positive and volunteers are great ambassadors for positive parent-school relations.
