As you write your Annual Progress Report for distribution to the Iowa Department of Education and your community, be sure to write a plan for improvement that inspires you and your staff for the following year. Use a variety of data sources to create synthesis statements regarding student achievement, student behavior, the quality of your programs, and demographics.
The following checklist may be used to guide the writing of your next annual plan for improvement or your five-year comprehensive plan:

- Process and effort data (frequency/duration data).

- Are the strategies congruent with your values and beliefs?
- Do your strategies focus on systems improvement?
