Dr. Sara McInerny

Dr. Sara McInernyDr. Sara McInerny presently works for Area Education Agency 267 in Cedar Falls, Iowa as Director of Comprehensive Improvement and Strategic Planning. Sara's work provides leadership in developing, achieving and maintaining integrated programs and services among special education, educational services and information technology within AEA 267. Her work ensures that the agency is providing consistent, coordinated agency-wide program models and processes to our LEA's. In addition she works with the AEA Special Education division and LEA administrators towards efficient delivery and quality of special education programming and services.

Sara has taught elementary, middle school and high school in both general education and special education. She has been a special education administrator, middle school principal and director of special education. Sara holds a bachelor's degree in secondary social studies from Parsons College, a master's degree in special education from the University of Northern Iowa, and a doctorate degree in administration, curriculum and instruction from the University of Nebraska.
