Expulsions

Discipline

Expulsion is the removal of an individual from an educational program by the Board of Education. The expulsion of an entitled individual does not terminate his/her right to receive a free appropriate education. It is the responsibility of the district to provide that education.

Expulsion is also considered a change of placement. If the behavior is the manifestation (result) of the student's disability than expulsion is not appropriate.
